Divided Yet Interconnected

On the strange paradox of being more reachable and more isolated than ever — and the slow hope of healing.

The paradox of our moment, written down in plain language. We’ve never had more access to each other and never felt less close. The poem just sits with that.

We’re so divided

Yet interconnected

How can we be so informed

Yet so frustrated?

These thoughts plague my mind

But hopefully these wounds

Will heal with time

I don’t think the technology is the villain. I think the way we use it is the diagnosis. The hope at the end isn’t naive — it’s just the only kind of hope worth having about something this big. Hopefully these wounds will heal with time.
