Spreading Peace
Six bars on poetry, peace, and breathing through the noise.
Some pieces want to be a long, slow exhale. Some want to be six bars and out. This one’s the second kind.
I appreciate the poetry
Flowing rhapsodies for majesties
Sick of all the travesties
Too casual about the casualties
So I’m spreading peace — like a disease
I breathe — deep depth is what I hope to achieve
The world has gotten really good at being casual about casualties. That’s the line that drove the rest. You can let it harden you, or you can decide to be a counterweight on the other side of the scale.
Spreading peace like a disease isn’t a slogan. It’s a strategy. If indifference is contagious, so is care. Pick which one you want to be a vector for.
