If the World Was Ending: A Short Reflective Poem
A short reflective poem in four lines — one question about how your life ends, and whoever shows up in your mind first is the answer.
A thought experiment, four lines long. Whoever shows up first when you read it is who you should probably call this week.
If the world was ending
How much would you cry?
Would your tears come with laughter?
Or with pain in your eyes?
The shape of the tear is the shape of the life. Laughter-tears mean you spent your time well. Pain-tears mean there were things you didn’t finish saying. Most of us would have some of both, and that’s not a failure — it just tells you what’s left to do.
